The Importance of Being Prequalified

In the excitement of buying, buyers often delay what should be their first step toward buying a home – talking with their mortgage broker or banker and getting prequalified. This is something that should be done before you start to seriously look at homes.
Why is this so important?

-    If buying a new home, you need to know how much you can afford to pay and therefore what price range you should be looking at when viewing properties. It is very disappointing to fall in love with a home and then find out that it is outside of your budget.

-   Your accepted offer is much less likely to fall apart because of a failure to get approved financing for the purchase.
-  If you are in a multiple offer situation, knowing that you are pre-approved may make the difference in having your offer accepted over another buyer’s.

When working with us, we will be in close contact with your lender to ensure that financing is not an issue when it comes time to put in an offer on your new home.
